I have always been passionate about capturing the essence of a place and the impact it can leave us with, especially when it is with our person. Combining new experiences in beautiful places can leave a permanent mark on our soul. Capturing those moments are some of my very favorite, and that is just what we did for Macey and Kyle’s Joshua Tree bridal portraits.
Macey and Kyle have long dreamed of exploring Joshua Tree together, making it an even more special choice for their couple session and bridal portraits.
Knowing how meaningful this moment in time was for them, I wanted to organically capture every feeling they felt experiencing Joshua Tree National Park for the first time so that they would be transported back to those exact emotions when they looked back at their images.
Together we explored the most beautiful desert spots tucked away from the crowds, chasing the golden sun until the sky faded into blue and the moon peeked over the rocks. It was truly so special to tell the story of these two falling in love with a place they had been dying to experience together for the longest time, which is beautifully easy to do in Joshua Tree.
We were surrounded by the iconic Yucca Trees, boulders and golden light the Mojave Desert is known for while the breeze danced in Macey’s gown.
It was magic in it’s purest form as the light washed over us in gold. Macey and Kyle are the most kind hearted, down to earth people to be around. Through our entire experience exploring the desert together, they just wanted to soak in the moment and find beauty in being present together and that is exactly what made capturing their love together so beautiful. It was an absolute honor to capture.
